The 2008 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony has come and gone, and eight new members are now a part of the most exclusive club in sports-entertainment. The WWE Hall of Fame welcomed "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Rocky Johnson, "High Chief" Peter Maivia, Mae Young, The Briscos, Eddie Graham & Gordon Solie into its hallowed halls.
Triple H had the honor of inducting his mentor, Ric Flair into the Hall of Fame. Accepting the honor, Flair gave a tearful, emotional speech thanking his family and friends on the eve of what may be his last match ever.
The Rock electrified the fans in attendance, for his first appearance in the WWE since 2004. The Rock poked fun at many of the WWE Superstars, while honoring his father Rocky Johnson, and grandfather, the late "High Chief" Peter Miavia.
On the eve of his WWE Championship match at WrestleMania, John Cena delivered a stirring speech, paying respect to the wrestling legends that came before him and his peers.
Pat Patterson shared some memorable stories about Mae Young, only the third woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. In her acceptance speech, Mae stated that she wanted to be wrestling on her 100th Birthday.
With a speech right out of a celebrity roast, JBL entertained the fans and guests at the Amway Arena, while inducting brothers Jack & Gerald Brisco into the WWE Hall of Fame.
"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes walked onstage the same way he did at last year's ceremony, dancing to his theme music. Rhodes was inducting legendary Florida wrestler and promoter Eddie Graham into the Hall of Fame. Accepting on his father's behalf, Mike Graham presented a photo from the first-ever meeting of the NWA from 1960.
Jim Ross celebrated the career of Gordon Solie, "the voice of professional wrestling," with a respectful speech, inducting him into the Hall of Fame.
